Spent my Valentine's day not really thinking about it. I had a Kinetics test this morning which really wasn't quite bad (and would have been much better if I had just let my calculator take care of the bounds of the definite integral by itself rather than thinking, oh, if you plug in zero you get zero, which sooooo doesn't work when you're using e). My group meeting for "Age of the Scientific Revolution" was cancelled because the other girl didn't show up to class (though, ironically, she ended up being the only person to show up for the meeting because we had no way to contact her), which :;cough:: gave me more time to finish the book the project's on.

The book was actually intersting, I was surprised. It's about how obstetrics turned from the province of female midwives to that of male physicians. A lot of stuff about forceps, and something horrible I didn't know about called a craniotomy (which in the context of midwifrey isn't as benign as it seems when you google it). And not in Old English either, a vast improvement on most of that class's reading.

Karen came down this weekend (from where she co-ops in South Carolina). On Friday night we had a board game night which was quite successful. The guy Karen's got something going on with, Ben, brought "Wise or Otherwise", a game which involves finishing an ancient proverb. The jokes were an on-going thing with Jewish monkeys, and when Becky wrote Graham's name instead of her own on her answer sheet. It was so weird, I had all the answers, and couldn't figure out why Graham's name was on two sheets. Similar hand-writings, too.

Saturday the girls here went to see Hitch, which was quite good. I liked the side-plot story of the guy from King of Queens with the pretty heiress best.

Hopefully this week I'll select a new ringtone for my cell phone. The pre-programmed tune is so indinstinctive that yesterday I didn't even realize it was ringing when it was in my pocket. So I need something loud and distinctive. But they don't have any Weird Al, so I don't know what I want.

Pep band now. The basketball coach is actually supposed to come today.
