We Plan to Win

I had a disturbing dream the other night that was a combination of Gilmore Girls and my own screwed up family. The contribution my family made was that I had to go over to my grandparents' house and my dropout cousin was feeding us cactus, of all things. My grandmother greeted us by saying that her rock tumbler had been insufficient to correctly polish this one rock (which was huge, and hanging from a necklace) until they put it in with this other rock they got from the same place. The contribution of Gilmore Girls was that my mother was Lorelei.

My Kinetics test went all right, I think, but Biochem was a shafting of true Georgia Tech proportions. If an aminoacyl-t-RNA doesn't break down into bits that include uracil, formaldehyde, and methionine, I'm screwwwwwwed.

Next week I've got a Transport test, which also promises to be fantastically horrible, and a midterm in my humanities class, which is confusing because I don't know what the heck she could test us on in that class.

This weekend has another project: our CA (community advisor) instituted a hall door decorating contest! I like to think we inspired it, since we started decorating our door before Halloween with tons of construction paper turkeys, and kept up the seasons ever since. No one else decorates their door.

So, in other words, we plan to win.

We were talking about what our theme should be, and agreed it should be spring. Then I thought of what the name could be: "The Nerds and the Bees". We're going to get craft supplies on Friday and decorate on Sunday. I'm excited.
