So, CuteBoy#2 just apologized. Let me post the conversation here, but explain what was going on.

The computer moos.

"What was that?" asks my mom.

"That mean's CuteBoy#2 is on line now," I say, "but he's still away." I have an alarm still set to alarm me on IM when he comes on.

The computer moos again.

"What's that?" my mom asks again.

"That mean CuteBoy#2 is not away any more," I say.

"Is he talking to you?"

"No."

Ding. He is.

Now comes the odd conversation.

CuteBoy#2: hey.

(I'm surprised he's contacting me)

smartypin: hey

(But I'm cool. I won't show it. And yes, I am concealing his real screen name)

CuteBoy#2: when i said no, what i said came out completely wrong, and i didn't mean what it sounded like

(What? Is this what I think it is?)

CuteBoy#2: i thought about how i worded what i said, and it sounded horrible

(An apology? Can it be that he is ::gasp:: human?)

smartypin: yeah, it did.

(I'm going to be honest)

CuteBoy#2: i didn't mean i didn't think i would have i good time, but i dont know you well enough to know if i would or not, i mean, ive had classes with you, but i barely know you at all.

CuteBoy#2: you know?

(And he just ruined it.)

smartypin: sure

(That's noncommital)

CuteBoy#2: so im sorry for the way i said what i did, i didn't mean to hurt any feelings or anything.

CuteBoy#2: sure?

smartypin: yeah.

smartypin: did you sign on just to say that?

CuteBoy#2: i really dont want you angry at me for that.

CuteBoy#2: ive been on all day.

CuteBoy#2: =

CuteBoy#2: just away

CuteBoy#2: had to ask someone about spanish homework

smartypin: no, i'm not angry now.

(key-word, now, and I am kind of lying still)

CuteBoy#2: ok, well i am very sorry for what i said, and how it sounded, i guess those english skills are no good under pressure.

smartypin: people skills CuteBoy#2, not english skills.

(I have thought about this. He lacks people skills)

CuteBoy#2: english = the way i word things.

smartypin: ::shakes head::

(isn't that right? Two colons means an action you're taking at the time you're writing?)

CuteBoy#2: ?

CuteBoy#2: me lost again

(He's stupid)

smartypin: Never mind. Anyway, dinner's ready so I'll see you tomorrow.

(It was)

So he apologized, if he did repeat basically what he said at the time. He doesn't know me well enough from school to go to prom with me, though he does know BitchGirl well enough from fewer classes to ask her to Homecoming. Go figure.

If I'm his back-up date and this is him softening me up for it, I will kick him, then invite him to do the anti-social half-hour plan me and my friends have.

Why did he apologize? Did J.A. tell him something after she kicked him? He doesn't read this, does he? If he does, CuteBoy#2 will have a little fun seeing this stupid conversation plastered all over the internet.

I'm not really cruel. I'm just disappointed. He's cute. But stupid. And my attention had to be called to that.
